Did his Primary schooling from Nazareth Academy, Gaya & Rajghat Besant School, Varanasi. +2 From Delhi Public School, Mathura road, New Delhi.
Did MBBS in 1991 from MSRMC, Bangalore & Post graduation in Gen Surg. From MRMC, Gulbarga.
Later specialized in Surgical Oncology from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai where he worked for 3 years.
Also worked at Bombay Hospital, Mumbai. He is also trained in MLSCOPY & LASER SURGERY from KIEL, Germany.
He Did Fellowship In Surgical Oncology at MP Shah Cancer Hospital, Ahamedabad, under guidance of Prof Dr. D.D.Patel.
The urged to serve the people of Bihar forced him to returned to his home state & he laid the foundation of cancer Surgery in Bihar.
Started with the department of Surgical Oncology at IGIMS, Patna & worked for 2 yrs.
Later on he was invited to establish the department of Surgical Oncology at Mahavir Cancer Sansthan, Patna and it was under his dynamic effort that Mahavir Cancer Sansthan got recognized for teaching DNB in Surgical Oncology the first in India & the Sansthan got to this height. Under his guidance many students have been trained for cancer Surgery. He segregated the oncology in specialized unit. He has special interest in Head & neck and Breast diseases.he has operated more than five thousand cases of head & neck cancers as well as Breast cancer Surgeries(conservative as well as radical & oncoplastic Breast Surgeries). He is also a national executive member of association of breast surgeons of India.
Presently he has his own establishment known as Cancer Care Clinic & Research Center, at Kankarbagh with office at R K Avenue, Rajendra Naga, patna. He established the only Oncology forum in Bihar called “ Society Of Oncology”, Bihar in 2003 in which he was the Hon. Secretary till 2008. Presently he is the President of the Society.
He has organized numerous conferences , Seminars, Symposium & have many papers to his credit of national and international repute. A full member of Association of Surgeons of India, Indian Society of Surgical Oncology, ISO, ICON and many others. He has been conferred with RASHTRIYA GAURAV SAMMAN He is also been awarded the prestigious DR. ARPITA ROY AWARD for his distinguished service in the field of oncology. Recently he has been nominated as a member of Bihar state tobacco control committee.
